Doctorant

  Lucian CIRLAN et doctorant en Sociologie des religions à l’Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes (EPHE-PSL), sous la direction de Philippe Portier. Son projet de thèse, “Religion et Droits de l’Homme en Roumanie. L’éthique sociale orthodoxe face aux mutations contemporaines de la société”, étudie la relation entre le christianisme orthodoxe et les droits de l’homme en Roumanie contemporaine (2007-2017). Ayant une double formation, il a obtenu une licence en théologie orthodoxe (Iasi-Roumanie) et une licence en relations internationales (Bucarest-Roumanie). En 2013 il a obtenu un Master en Sciences Religieuses de l’Université de Strasbourg et en 2017 un Master en Histoire et Sciences Politiques à l’Université de Bucarest et l’EHESS. Il a été Chargé de recherché à l’Université de Lausanne sur le projet “Mixed methods: Best and Worst Practices” (2014-2015). En 2015-2016, il a été Visiting Scholar au New Europe College – Institute for Advanced Studies (Bucarest), avec le soutien de l’Académie Française (Bourse Jean WALTER-ZELLIDJA). En 2017 il a été accepté comme Academic Visitor à la Maison Française d’Oxford et l’Université d’Oxford.   Membre dans plusieurs associations scientifiques (Société Internationale de la Sociologie des Religions, Association Française des Sciences Sociales des Religions, Société des Sociologues en Roumanie), il fait partie du groupe de recherche “Religion and Politics in the Black Sea region” coordonné par by Pennsylvania State University et l’Académie Nationale des Sciences en Ukraine.

His project, “Religion et Droits de l’Homme en Roumanie. L’éthique sociale orthodoxe face aux mutations contemporaines de la société”, is focusing on the relation between Orthodox Christianity and Human Rights in the Romanian society (2007-2017). He holds one BA in Orthodox Theology (Iasi-Romania) and one BA in International Relations (Bucharest-Romania). In 2013 he graduated his MA in Religious Studies at the University of Strasbourg (France) and in 2017 he graduated his MA in History and Political Science at the University of Bucharest and the EHESS (Paris). He worked as Research Assistant at the University of Lausanne, on the “Mixed methods: Best and Worst Practices” research project (2014-2015). During 2015-2016, he was Visiting Scholar at the New Europe College – Institute for Advanced Studies (Bucharest), with the support of the French Academy (Jean WALTER-ZELLIDJA scholarship).
