She is currently a post-doctoral research fellow within the GSRL.   After obtaining diplomas dealing with religion, laïcité and school with Jean-Marie Donégani (maîtrise in political science, 1992), Jean-Marie Mayeur (maîtrise in history, Université Paris IV-Sorbonne, 1998) and Jean Baubérot (DEA: diplôme d'études approfondies in the sociology of religion, EPHE, 1999), she completed her Phd dissertation, at the crossroads of political science and sociology of religions, under the direction of Jean-Paul Willaime.  It dealt with the relations between religious and secular pressure groups on the one hand, and the European Commission on the other.  The Presses universitaires de Rennes published the dissertation in 2007 with the title Des dieux et des fonctionnaires: religions et laïcités au défi de la construction européenne.   During her work on her Phd, she obtained research grants from the Ministry of Education (“allocataire de recherche”: 1990-1992) as well as a European Erasmus grant (2003).   Three years of post-doctoral work for the European REDCo project allowed her to reexamine the interactions between religion, laïcité and school, culminating in 9 publications in both French and English.   The reports she wrote during her time as a research assistant for the Foreign Ministry's Advisor on Religious Affairs (2003-2004) formed the basis for a textbook, L’Europe avec ou sans Dieu? Héritages et nouveaux défis (Paris: Les Editions de l’Atelier, 2010), which she co-wrote with Virginie Riva, journalist for the Europe 1 radio network.  The book covers the history of church-state relations within the countries of the expanded EU and examines the challenges posed by religion that these countries share.   She has written 29 research articles and jointly organized four conferences or sessions within the congress of the International Society for the Sociology of Religion, one of which resulted in a publication that she co-edited with Christophe Grannec: Les religions dans la mondialisation entre acculturation et contestation (Paris: Karthala, 2012).   Having qualified for the Conseil national universitaire (CNU) in both the 4th section (political science) and the 19th (sociology), she has been teaching the geopolitics of religion to Masters students since 2005, first at Sciences Po-Paris, then at the Université catholique de l'Ouest (UCO) in Angers.  She also teaches the sociology of religion in Europe at the European School of Political and Social Sciences (ESPOL) in Lille.  In addition, she has taught the methodology of social sciences at the Institut catholique in Paris, at the UCO in Angers and as a lecturer (ATER, Attaché Temporaire d'Enseignement et de Recherche) at the Université Paris 8 in Saint-Denis.     Since 2014, she has been working on the internationalization of secular/humanist movements.
