Quels sont les liens entre construction des masculinités, pratiques religieuses et engagements politiques dans l’espace européen du XIXe siècle à nos jours ?Une attention à l’engagement religieux des hommes pourrait enrichir notre compréhension de la construction des masculinités d’une part, et du politique d’autre part, en tentant de dégager des logiques transnationales. Ces engagements s’inscrivent tout à la fois dans l’espace public et l’espace privé, en portant une attention à la famille, peu étudiée sous cet angle…

What are the ties between masculinities, religious practices and political commitments in Europe from the nineteenth century up to the present day ?A close analysis of men’s religious commitments will aid our understanding of both the politics and the construction of masculinities.
